Add to Chrome ↗- Choose Add to Chrome, then confirm Add extension.
- Open your browser’s extensions menu (the puzzle piece), pin Signal, then open Signal.
- Choose Continue with Google. Use the same Google account if you already have a Signal trial or subscription.
- Read and accept Signal’s Terms and data-use agreement, then open YouTube. Browse eligible video cards and hover over a score to see why.
Your trial and any subscription follow your Google account. Your trial never renews into a paid plan automatically.

Signal needs desktop Chrome or Edge. Keep this page and open it on your computer. Installing is free; you can choose a paid plan later.
Recover an existing manual installation
These advanced steps retain the earlier direct release. For a new installation, use the Chrome Web Store above. Avoid running both copies at the same time.

Install in Chrome
A manual installation uses an extension folder. Save it to a location you will keep.
Choose a location you’ll keep, such as Documents. We create a new Signal folder there. Keep that folder after installation.
- Copy
chrome://extensionsinto Chrome’s address bar. - Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the Signal folder we saved.
- Pin Signal from the puzzle-piece menu, open it, and sign in. Your free trial and any future plan follow your Google account.
Use desktop Chrome or Edge to save a folder. On Linux or a managed browser that supports CRX installation, you can use the signed CRX package. A CRX alone will not install in regular Chrome on Windows or Mac.
Install in Edge
Save Signal as an extension folder, then add it to Edge. There’s no ZIP to unpack.
Choose a location you’ll keep, such as Documents. We create a new Signal folder there. Keep that folder after installation.
- Copy

- Pin Signal, open it, and sign in with your Google account. Your free trial and any future plan follow that account.
Was your CRX download removed? Use the folder steps above. If your organization blocks developer-mode extensions, contact its administrator.
This direct release is signed by Signal and has not been reviewed by the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons. Developer-mode installations may show browser reminders. Updates are installed manually from this page; your account, trial and any future subscription are stored separately.
